Turkey Point Lighthouse on the Chesapeake Bay

Turkey Point Lighthouse is located in Maryland and stands on a 100 foot high cliff at the head of the Chesapeake Bay where the Elk and North East Rivers meet. The 35 foot structure was built in 1833 as a navigational aid for vessels using the newly completed Chesapeake and Delaware Canal.
