"Clearing Skies-Donegal" was inspired by a visit to the north-western coast of County Donegal, Ireland but the scene is very typical of the Irish landscape throughout the country.

Weather forecasts in Ireland can often call for "sunny spells and scattered showers" and it was my desire to depict the clearing after a rain.Our romantic vision of an Ireland of stone walls, sheep, and, thatched cottages still exists in very special places.
