Original Watercolor

Welcome to my website. I am a Maryland native and live at the head of the Chesapeake Bay where Tidewater meets the Piedmont. I paint the landscape, architecture and people of this scenic area and also of the Down East coast of Maine where I have a summer studio. Travels to Ireland to explore my Celtic roots have added subjects from the British Isles to my portfolio.

I paint in the style of traditional realism in the mediums of watercolor and oil. My paintings reflect my life journey. Art is a connection to the inner soul and my paintings are a direct response to something that has touched me emotionally. For me the joy of painting is in capturing and sharing a moment in time from the beauty in the world around me.

The winds of change are blowing briskly over Fair Hill today !! It is finally beginning to feel like fall has arrived and the Holiday Season is on the way!! My studio Open House is always the weekend before Thanksgiving and this year it will be held on Saturday, November 18th, 11-4 and Sunday, November 19, 1-4. You and your friends are invited to stop by and see what is new this year.

Customers have requested smaller prints and this fall I have printed a 7 X 11 version of the popular watercolor of Gilpin's Falls covered bridge, SNOW MOON. Smaller sizes are also available in HOWARD'S POND and APPLE BUTTER TIME  and are priced well for gift giving. The watercolor of "The Girls" , which depicts 3 of the hens from my flock, was so popular that I have decided to do a series based on my Girl's and the newest is "GIRL'S DAY OUT".  Prints will be available soon and  before Christmas.

The family will be joining Bob and I as usual. Rachel will have her equestrian art, notecards and handmade sketchbooks. Lisa will be available to answer your questions about her classes for children's art and has new handmade items for sale. Rob will once again have his woodshop open to display his fine woodworking projects or discuss commissions.

Looking forward to seeing you during our Open House!
