Old thatched cottage in Ireland
Giclée Print
10 ½ " X 14 "

Welcome to my website. I am a Maryland native and live at the head of the Chesapeake Bay where Tidewater meets the Piedmont. I paint the landscape, architecture and people of this scenic area and also of the Down East coast of Maine where I have a summer studio. Travels to Ireland to explore my Celtic roots have added subjects from the British Isles to my portfolio.

I paint in the style of traditional realism in the mediums of watercolor and oil. My paintings reflect my life journey. Art is a connection to the inner soul and my paintings are a direct response to something that has touched me emotionally. For me the joy of painting is in capturing and sharing a moment in time from the beauty in the world around me.

The snows continue to fall here in Maryland but the temperatures are slowly rising. My Witch Hazel bush is in bloom and the daffodils have popped up through the snow. Spring is on the way !!

With St. Patrick's Day in the near future, I have chosen to place my print  "Clearing Skies - Donegal" on the home page. I painted the watercolor from a spot I found in County Donegal, Ireland on my last trip there. You can find information about the print under Giclees in the Print pages.

Spring means the return of watercolor classes here at my studio in Fair HIll. The schedule and my teaching methods can be found on the Classes and Workshop Page. If you are interested in classes you can contact me by email through the contact feature on this website.

Happy Spring!
