Howard's Pond Elkton Maryland
Giclée Print
8" x 13" & 11 1/2 "x 18"

Welcome to my website. I am a Maryland native and live at the head of the Chesapeake Bay where Tidewater meets the Piedmont. I paint the landscape, architecture and people of this scenic area and also of the Down East coast of Maine where I have a summer studio. Travels to Ireland to explore my Celtic roots have added subjects from the British Isles to my portfolio.

I paint in the style of traditional realism in the mediums of watercolor and oil. My paintings reflect my life journey. Art is a connection to the inner soul and my paintings are a direct response to something that has touched me emotionally. For me the joy of painting is in capturing and sharing a moment in time from the beauty in the world around me.

My 36th Annual McKeown Christmas Open House will be held on Saturday, November 19, 11-4 and Sunday, November 20, 1-4.In my studio I will be showing my newest  giclee print ,"Ice skating at Howard's Pond". Many Locals have fond memories of the Elkton tradition of ice skating there during their childhood. The print is signed and numbered, available in two sizes, 8"x 11" and 11 1/2" x 18" and the prices are $55 and $85.

I have received requests for smaller sizes in my prints. I now  have a smaller size of the popular print, "Apple Butter Time" available at 7 " x 11" which frames to a nice size of approximately 16 "x 20".

Our son, Rob McKeown will once again have his cabinetshop in the nearby bank barn open for visitors. He will be showing some of his current cabinetry work and available to answer your questions about custom work. Ask him to tell you about an exciting project he will be working on in 2017!
